Carolanne Leblanc of Largo, Florida, says: I’m the Coordinator of an Expo. Every year I have to sit and direct my volunteers because I cannot walk an eight-hour day.
But not this year! I was able to manage a crowded Expo Hall without any pain.
I was able to navigate on a crowded floor without bumping into people, or being ignored because I sat lower than them and they couldn’t see me.
My little scooter paid for itself in one day! It was amazing! Thank you so much for giving me the freedom to move again!
On my scooter…I was ready for them!!
Carolanne's comments about traveling with her scooter: Wanted to let you know that I recently took my Scooter through four airports with absolutely no trouble at all! I used the Scooter to get through the airport, and went through security with no problems. At security I let them handle the Scooter while I walked through, then picked it up on the other side. Once I had reached the gate I checked in with them and had them mark it as 'Gate Pick-up' so that I could use it down the ramp to the plane. One ramp was very, very steep so they recommended I use a wheelchair while someone else walked it down to the plane for me. It was then stored under the plane and each time we landed the Scooter was right there for me to pick up and use again. It did get lost once, but we immediately found it at baggage pickup. Someone had marked it incorrectly as 'baggage pick-up' instead of 'gate pick-up'. But even then they were quick to get me a wheelchair and once it was located everything was fine. Going through the airports was interesting...I got lots of stares, and pointed fingers from people checking out my Scooter and wondering where they could find one like it.
In Portugal we had absolutely NO trouble at all with it. It's light enough for me to handle alone, and it fit perfectly into the trunk of our rental car. I used it on cobblestone, crushed rock, dirt trails and paved roads all easy peasy!! I did have trouble going UP the steep hills and inclines until I realized it was so much easier to get off the Scooter, hold the handle bars for support and walk up the hills. Once I was up the incline I just hopped right back on and had no trouble keeping up with my travel companions. Once I had to manage getting down a short flight of steps and I was doing ok on my own, when some wonderful stranger came and took the Scooter down the stairs for me and waited at the bottom for me to get there.

Nancy S. from North Carolina says: I have now used my Walk Aid Scooter since January 2017. I have two issues including severe knee arthritis which will require total replacement (pain while walking) and a lower back soft tissue injury so I cannot stand for very long without pain. This scooter has really been a wonderful aid for me. I knew that other equipment available had major downsides because I can’t kneel on my knee. I didn’t want to deal with a heavy motor or heavy scooter. This scooter I can put in and take out of my car easily and works perfectly on all terrain! It has given me the ability to keep working. I hear many positive comments and have recommended this to many people who have asked about it. Thank you very much for creating this!
Brad and Darcy Wicks of Scottsdale, Arizona say: Just to let you know, the Walk Aid Scooter has been a life saver! It is awesome and we are so happy to be able to go outside around the lake instead of short walks with crutches. Almost makes the eight weeks off the leg bearable. Thank you!
Ferne Frank of Washington says: I purchased a WalkAid scooter last fall, shortly after we'd moved to Furport, WA, a small mountain village, to work as Camp Directors. Eager to try, but had to wait till spring to try out because of an unusual pile-up of snow!
I have neuropathy, and while I know exercise is very important to help with pain control, couldn't do much weight-bearing on my feet. What a relief to fly down the road, finally! I have no residual pain which is common after I've been walking.
I want you to know that this scooter performs great on the uneven hilly terrain and I feel safe riding down the road to the camp.
It has been a blessing to me, and will help me become more fit.

Calvin Dart of Tucson, Arizona says: "The Walk Aid Scooter has changed my quality of life during my recovery....Walkers and wheelchairs are uncomfortable on wrists, elbows, and shoulders; and they are slow and bumpy on any surface besides smooth linoleum. The Walk Aid Scooter is very comfortable and allows me to keep my body weight on my rear and uninjured leg. I can now travel as quickly as someone walking at a brisk pace, instead of moving like a snail with a walker. The inflated tires make the ride smooth, even on surfaces like brick or cobblestone sidewalks. I hated feeling so small when friends and family would tower over me while I sat low in a wheelchair. With the Walk Aid, my eye level is only a few inches shy of my regular height, so I can interact with others with confidence. If you are healing a leg injury and want to have as much comfortable mobility as possible, the Walk Aid Scooter will allow you to easily move through the rooms or your home, take short strolls near home, and run errands with ease.
Laurie Brainard of California says: "I was so glad I brought my Walk Aid Scooter with me on our recent road trip to Texas. Without the scooter, I could not have done 90% percent of the things I was able to do with my family."

Sandy Lowry of California describes her Walk Aid: "I love my scooter! . . . It has changed my life. I can take my puppy for a walk now. . . I zipped all over the mall on Christmas Eve. Even with the crowds and narrow aisles I had no problems. It was less cumbersome and more maneuverable than people pushing strollers. . . . "
John Owens of Tennessee says: "The Walk Aid has proven to be a significant aid to my mobility."
Jane Ayers of Florida says her scooter "gave me freedom to get around despite my bad knee. I can go shopping or to the beach. I get out of the house a lot more now. . . Thank you Walk Aid Scooter."
Ingrid Jennings of Washington says: "I love the scooter! We added dual foot pegs (ordered BMX bike pegs) so I can switch feet quickly, and a small basket too. No rear fender yet, but we'll probably do that in the fall when it starts to get rainy again. My doctor filled out paperwork so the scooter is an offical designated ADA assistive mobility device in my workplace (a public library in Seattle), and having it has made such a difference! Now I can move around work, go out to lunch, or scoot down the street to my dentist without having horrible pain and having to stop and rest two or three times. I can join my family at the park, keep up on walks, go to Target or the mall when my son needs new shoes, and enjoy being at festivals and events. I can't wait to go to a ball game, and it's wonderful to know we can more easily plan trips to places like Disneyland without my needing a wheelchair. Plus, the scooter just looks cool."

Alicia Robinson of New Mexico says: The scooter has been great. I went to Vegas last week and lots of people asked me about it.
